Direct Employer## Description Teaching Assistant (SEMH) Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire Full time £105 – £120 Per day September 2026 Start We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) Teaching Assistant to join a supportive team at a school in Aylesbury. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with SEMH needs, providing both academic and emotional support.
Key Responsibilities:
Support students with SEMH needs in both group and one-to-one settings Assist in creating a safe and nurturing learning environment Collaborate with teachers to plan and deliver tailored interventions Monitor and track students’ progress, offering feedback to the teaching team Support the development of social and emotional skills through targeted activities Help manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours in a positive, constructive manner Ideal Candidate:
