Location:

Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Contract:
Term Time Only
Salary: £150-£190 per day
We are seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate and highly motivated SEN Teacher to join our vibrant Primary Special School. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference to the lives of children with complex learning needs and disabilities.
Our pupils are aged 4-11 and have a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including:
Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
Physical disabilities and complex medical needs
Sensory processing difficulties
Social, emotional and behavioural needs associated with their learning difficulties
The Role
As an SEN Teacher, you will:
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual pupil needs.
Create a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment.
Work closely with Teaching Assistants, Therapists, Families and Multi-Agency Professionals.
Develop and implement individual learning programmes and EHCP outcomes.
Use a range of communication approaches, including Makaton, PECS, visual supports and assistive technology where appropriate.
Monitor, assess and celebrate pupil progress, however small.
Support pupils' communication, independence, social skills and emotional wellbeing.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Has experience working with children with SEND, particularly within a specialist or inclusive setting.
Demonstrates patience, resilience and a positive attitude.
Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Is committed to achieving the very best outcomes for children with complex needs.
Has a creative and flexible approach to teaching and learning.
