About the Roles Speech & Language Therapist / Specialist Speech & Language Therapist

You will play a key role in establishing and developing speech and language therapy provision across the Trust. You will:

  • Deliver specialist, outcome-focused interventions for pupils with a wide range of speech, language and communication needs (SLCN)
  • Embed communication strategies across the curriculum to support access to learning
  • Work collaboratively with staff, families, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach
  • Contribute to staff training and professional development, supporting a whole-school approach to SLCN, Lead the development and delivery of a specialist speech and language therapy service for pupils with highly complex needs
  • Provide advanced clinical expertise and oversee therapy provision across your site
  • Embed communication strategies across the curriculum at a strategic level
  • Deliver and oversee training, supervision, and staff development
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary working and contribute to service development and quality assurance
  • Provide clinical leadership within your area of responsibility
We are looking for passionate professionals who bring:
  • A recognised qualification in Speech & Language Therapy with HCPC and RCSLT registration
  • Experience working with children and young people with ASC, SEMH, and complex communication needs
  • Strong communication, organisational, and collaborative working skills
For senior roles, you will also demonstrate:
  • Significant clinical experience
  • Strong leadership and clinical decision-making skills
  • A passion for developing others and driving high-quality, outcome-focused practice
