What you'll be doing
Deliver engaging Biology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience welcomed).
Bring biological concepts to life through practical investigations, experiments, fieldwork, and real-world applications.
Plan and deliver well-structured lessons that challenge and support learners of all abilities.
Assess and monitor student progress, using data effectively to inform teaching and improve outcomes.
Create a positive, inclusive, and focused classroom environment with high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
Contribute to the development of the Biology curriculum and wider Science department initiatives.
Support extracurricular opportunities such as STEM activities, ecology clubs, science fairs, and educational trips.
What the school is looking for
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Experience teaching Biology in a secondary school setting.
Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for the biological sciences.
The ability to engage, motivate, and inspire students of varying abilities.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
