Full-Time Alternative Provision Immediate Start Initially Until Christmas with Potential Extension

Working within an alternative provision setting, staff focus on building positive relationships, supporting wellbeing, and helping learners overcome barriers to education.

• Provide 1:1 support to teenagers and young adults
• Support learners with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and high levels of anxiety
• Build trusting and positive relationships with learners
• Help learners access educational activities and interventions
• Support emotional regulation, confidence, and independence
• Work closely with teachers and specialist staff
• Encourage engagement, attendance, and positive outcomes
• Contribute to a safe, supportive, and structured environment

• Experience supporting young people with autism and/or anxiety
• Previous SEND, SEMH, or alternative provision experience is desirable
• Calm, patient, and empathetic approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to support learners who may find educational settings challenging
• Resilient, adaptable, and able to remain positive under pressure
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
