The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced roof truss designer to join the Crendon Timber Engineering team. You will be responsible for producing detailed, accurate designs for our products to meet customer/business requirements. We are looking for an individual with a natural ability to build rapport with customers and technical knowledge and experience in Truss and/or Posi-Joist floor design.

• Interpret customer requirements and estimator quotations to provide efficient and professional designs, ensuring targets are achieved and contractual obligations are fulfilled
• Liaise with customers and provide a knowledgeable service.
• Liaise with colleagues to ensure designs take into consideration costs, targets and manufacturing capacity & capability.

• Good understanding of I.T (use of Microsoft Office 365 suite).
• Confident written and verbal communication skills required to liaise with colleagues and customers.
• MiTek PAMIR experience preferable.
• Able to work as part of a small team but self‑motivation to work alone to meet deadlines and customer expectations.
• Passionate about exceeding customer expectations and providing excellent customer service.

You will have relevant experience in roof truss or floor design, with a proven track record of delivering accurate designs within agreed time frames.
