We are looking for an experienced Hardware / Embedded Engineer to join an innovative engineering team developing advanced electronic products.
The role will suit an engineer with commercial experience across electronic hardware and embedded software development, who enjoys working on technically challenging projects and developing new products.
You will work closely with electronic and mechanical engineers and have the opportunity to take ownership of hardware and embedded development projects from initial design through to testing and refinement.
The Role- Design and develop electronic hardware for new and existing products.
- Design and develop embedded software to run on electronic hardware.
- Work closely with electronic and mechanical engineers throughout the development process.
- Develop and test hardware and embedded software.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.
- Contribute to the development of innovative products from concept through to production.
- Support the testing, validation and refinement of new designs.
- Take ownership of assigned engineering projects and deliver work to a high standard.
- Identify opportunities to improve product performance, reliability and functionality.
- Continually develop technical knowledge and keep up to date with relevant technologies.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Commercial experience in hardware and/or embedded software development.
- Strong understanding of electronic hardware design.
- Experience developing embedded software.
- Good knowledge of C programming.
- Experience or knowledge of robotics would be beneficial.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a focus on high-quality engineering.
- Ability to work collaboratively with both electronic and mechanical engineers.
- Self-motivated with a genuine passion for engineering and developing new technology.
- A willingness to continually learn and develop new technical skills.
- £40,000- £58,000.
