Commercial Accountant

We are looking for a knowledgeable Commercial Accountant to join the team. The role involves managing financial operations and offering vital support for decision-making processes.

Our client is a reputable global organisation. They are a medium-sized company known for their structured approach and emphasis on delivering exceptional services to their clients.

• Process supplier invoices and ensure accurate coding
• Manage supplier payments and payment runs
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve queries
• Raise sales invoices and credit notes
• Monitor outstanding debtors and assist with credit control
• Reconcile customer accounts and handle queries
• Perform bank reconciliations
• Assist with monitoring day-to-day cash movements
• Assist in preparing month-end accounts and post journals (accruals, prepayments, adjustments)
• Support the Finance Manager with reporting tasks
• Support audit preparation where required
• Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet
• Maintain strong financial controls and compliance (VAT, tax, statutory requirements)
• Drive process improvements and efficiencies, including systems and reporting
• Contribute to the overall financial strategy of the business

• A recognised qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• An understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• The ability to communicate financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders.

• Competitive salary ranging from £42,000 to £45,000 per annum.
