We are looking for a knowledgeable Commercial Accountant to join the team. The role involves managing financial operations and offering vital support for decision-making processes.
Client DetailsOur client is a reputable global organisation. They are a medium-sized company known for their structured approach and emphasis on delivering exceptional services to their clients.
Responsibilities- Process supplier invoices and ensure accurate coding
- Manage supplier payments and payment runs
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve queries
- Raise sales invoices and credit notes
- Monitor outstanding debtors and assist with credit control
- Reconcile customer accounts and handle queries
- Perform bank reconciliations
- Assist with monitoring day-to-day cash movements
- Assist in preparing month-end accounts and post journals (accruals, prepayments, adjustments)
- Support the Finance Manager with reporting tasks
- Support audit preparation where required
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet
- Maintain strong financial controls and compliance (VAT, tax, statutory requirements)
- Drive process improvements and efficiencies, including systems and reporting
- Contribute to the overall financial strategy of the business
- A recognised qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- An understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- The ability to communicate financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
- Competitive salary ranging from £42,000 to £45,000 per annum.
