Financial Risk Analyst

Overview

Interested in moving beyond traditional actuarial work and into a broader risk role? We're partnering with a specialist life insurer looking to hire a Financial Risk Analyst to join its second-line risk function, working closely with senior risk and investment stakeholders across the business.

• Provide oversight and challenge across credit risk, ALM and investment activities
• Support risk review of BPA transactions, reinsurance arrangements and strategic initiatives
• Monitor financial risks and contribute to risk reporting for senior committees
• Support ORSA production and wider Solvency UK activities
• Participate in internal model validation and risk framework development
• Work directly with senior stakeholders across risk, actuarial and investment teams

• Part-qualified actuary or actuarial professional
• Background in life insurance, investments, pensions or financial risk
• Good understanding of credit risk, ALM or investment risk
• Knowledge of the UK regulatory environment
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to provide constructive challenge
• Curious, proactive and keen to broaden your risk expertise

• Broad exposure across financial, actuarial and enterprise risk
