PIP Investigator; FTC​/Secondment

Band 3H, £40,345 per annum, plus 19% shift allowance, plus benefits.

Location:

Thames Valley Police headquarters (On Site).

Working hours:

Part‑time or Full‑time available. Flexible working including job sharing and part‑time unless there are legitimate operational or business reasons why this cannot be accommodated.

Manage and progress the investigation of criminal offences and other incidents/enquiries.

Complete investigative actions, prepare case papers ensuring file completeness and delivery in accordance with court deadlines, legislation and Force policy. Maintain victim and witness confidence to facilitate successful outcomes.

• Qualified PIP2 Investigators.
• All posts require Police Vetting to the level stipulated in the National Vetting Code of Practice.
• Permanent staff applying will be offered on a secondment basis; written support from your Line Manager and Head of Department/Commander or Deputy is required. Without support, the role may be offered on a fixed‑term contract, which has implications including loss of continuous service protections.
• Shift allowance, on‑call or other job‑related allowances from a previous role will not be protected unless they are attached to the new role for the duration of the secondment.
