Specialist Clinical Pharmacist Cancer and Aseptics

This Cancer & Aseptics maternity leave cover role provides an excellent opportunity to develop valuable experience in cancer and aseptic services. As an integral member of the cancer multidisciplinary team, you will receive training opportunities in haematology and oncology ranging from paediatrics to adults, clinical trials, and end‑of‑life care. You will gain aseptic experience in our aseptic suite and liaise closely with chemotherapy‑trained nurses in the day units and the inpatient haematology ward, where we offer stem cell transplants.

The role requires a proactive, positive approach and excellent teamwork. You will support the aseptic unit manager, deputise for the Advanced Pharmacist for Cancer and Aseptics, clinically verify prescriptions, check dispensed medicines, and support logistics to deliver correct cancer and supportive medicines accurately and on time. You will also counsel patients, take drug histories, and reconcile medicines to ensure a smooth patient journey and uphold the pharmacy department’s compassionate and professional values.
