Team Administrator – Bucks Adult Mental Health Gateway

Are you looking for a challenging and rewarding role where you will be part of a new busy and supportive team within Adult Mental Health Services in Buckinghamshire?

The post holder will provide administrative support to the service launched in January 2023 – the Buckinghamshire Adult Mental Health Gateway Service.

The service provides a streamlined, central access for all Adult Mental Health referrals from Primary Care and other professionals, a clinical assessment before passing the referral onto specialist Mental Health Services for assessment. Bucks Adult Gateway also provides Community Navigation to patients accessing the voluntary sector and pharmacy and clinical advice directly to GPs.

Main duties of the job

Provide an efficient, high quality, confidential administrative and secretarial service to the Bucks Adult Mental Health Gateway Team, ensuring the smooth running of the secretarial and administration provision. Administer an electronic client information system. Organise day‑to‑day operations, manage post, monitor inboxes, input referrals and other clerical duties. Facilitate communication and liaison with patients, families, colleagues within the Trust and external organisations.

Maintain databases, collect and input data relating to team activity and produce reports as necessary.

Qualifications
  • High level knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Power Point
  • Recognised secretarial qualification (RSA level
    2) or equivalent
Experience
  • Administration or secretarial experience in an NHS setting
  • Experience working with confidential documents
  • Other admin or secretarial experience
Personal Qualities
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload and use own initiative
  • Ability to work effectively in a busy environment
