We’re proud of our long history in aerospace and defence, also focused on the future. Joining Martin-Baker means becoming part of a business with a clear purpose, strong engineering capability and a long-term commitment to its people, products and customers.

Whether you work in engineering, operations, commercial, finance, supply chain or support functions, your contribution helps deliver equipment that protects lives. It is challenging work, but it is also meaningful, and with over 7,700 lives saved, it gives our people the opportunity to be part of something with real impact.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the International Logistics Supervisor, you will act as a vital line of defence to ensure absolute export compliance. This comprehensive role offers deep day-to-day variety. Depending on team allocation, your focus may cover our US, Canada, and UK territories, or the Rest-of-the-World team—giving you excellent breadth and exposure across international trade.

What You’ll Do

* Global Shipping Coordination:
Manage and execute domestic and international shipments to customers and suppliers through approved freight forwarders.

* Export & Customs Compliance:
Prepare, verify, and validate all export documentation, shipping records, licences, permits, and regulatory undertakings.

* Financial Administration:
Prepare and submit complex Letter of Credit documentation in accordance with strict contractual milestones.

* System Traceability:
Accurately input, maintain, and monitor shipment data within customer portals and enterprise business systems (SAP).

* Hazardous Materials Oversight:
Maintain Dangerous Goods compliance across air, road, and sea transport modes, verifying material classification and safety data.

* Stakeholder Liaison:
Partner closely with freight forwarders, couriers, customers, Quality Assurance, and regulatory authorities to proactively resolve customs or delivery delays.

What We’re Looking For

* Logistics Baseline:
Proven foundational experience in international logistics, export administration, freight forwarding, or supply chain operations.

* Preferred Background:
Shipping department experience gained from the manufacturer's side is strongly preferred; however, individuals with extensive freight forwarding experience are encouraged to apply.

* Dangerous Goods Capability:
Prior Dangerous Goods certification (Air, Sea, and Road) is a major advantage. If you do not hold these, you must have the ability and willingness to train for and maintain these certifications upon joining.

* Technical Literacy: GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics, alongside competence in Microsoft Office. Prior exposure to SAP or similar ERP platforms is highly desirable.

* The Mindset:
Exceptional organisational skills, an uncompromising eye for detail, and a proactive approach to continuous process improvement.

* Share and demonstrate the Martin-Baker values.
