Service Engineer (Progression to Service Manager)

Are you a Service Engineer from any mechanical background looking to progress into a static, depot-based role, offering rapid progression to a Service Manager within 2 years? In this role you will start as an Assistant Service Manager, working alongside the highly experienced Service Manager, learning from them and gaining hands‑on experience of managing a team of 15–20 engineers, whilst adding to your skill set through internal and external training courses.
Within 2–3 years, you will step into the Service Manager position, using your skills and expert knowledge to oversee the service of pump motors, bearings and gearboxes within pump stations and wastewater treatment plants. You will also be responsible for preparing quotes and ensuring work is carried out in an efficient and safe manner.
This company has been established for over 70 years and has excelled to the peak of the wastewater industry, supplying domestic properties and facilities with pump stations and anaerobic reactors, whilst also servicing and maintaining wastewater and sewage plants.
The Role:- Progressing to manage a team of 12–15 Engineers
- Ensuring the servicing of plants and pump stations is done efficiently and safely
- Preparing work quotes for customers
- 9am-5pm Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
- Service Engineer with a mechanical background
- Looking for direct progression to a Service Manager
