Autumn Search is delighted to be exclusively partnering with a well-established, Care Quality Commission (CQC) accredited home care provider delivering high-quality, person-centred care across Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and the surrounding areas.

Our client supports people of all ages to live safely, independently and comfortably in their own homes through tailored care packages delivered with professionalism, dignity and compassion.

Led by an experienced management team with extensive backgrounds in health and social care, the organisation has earned a strong reputation for delivering personalised care whilst investing in its people and maintaining a positive, supportive culture.

With an established client base and a clear vision for the future, the organisation is now looking to appoint an experienced Registered Home Care Manager to lead the next phase of its development. This is an opportunity for a leader who enjoys strengthening services, embedding best practice and driving continuous improvement while supporting sustainable growth.

This is far more than a traditional Registered Manager position. Reporting directly to the Nominated Individual
, you will become a key member of the senior leadership team with the autonomy to influence operational performance, develop people, strengthen stakeholder relationships and help shape the future direction of the business. We’re looking for an ambitious leader who combines exceptional care management with commercial awareness and a genuine passion for delivering outstanding person-centred care. You’ll inherit an established service and be empowered to enhance quality, develop your team, improve operational performance and support continued business growth.

As Registered Home Care Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, performance and compliance of the domiciliary care service.

You will ensure the service consistently delivers safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led care, while inspiring your team to provide exceptional outcomes for every client.

This role requires a visible leader who is service delivery focused, commercially aware and prepared to lead by example. Whilst primarily a strategic and operational management position, you will also be willing to provide hands‑on care support when required.

Success in this role will come from your ability to build a positive culture, develop people, strengthen quality systems and identify opportunities to grow the service by converting enquiries into long‑term packages of care.

Key Responsibilities Leadership & Operations
  • Provide strong operational leadership across the domiciliary care service.
  • Ensure the service consistently meets and exceeds CQC standards.
  • Lead, motivate and develop the office coordination team and field-based care professionals.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism and continuous improvement.
Business Development
  • Drive sustainable growth by converting enquiries into new packages of care.
  • Support occupancy growth through excellent customer experience and relationship management.
  • Work alongside the senior leadership team to contribute to the organisation's strategic objectives.
Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong professional relationships with:

  • Local Authorities
  • GP Practices
  • Community Healthcare Teams
  • Service users and their families
  • Other community partners
Quality & Compliance
  • Complete care assessments, risk assessments and person‑centred care plans.
  • Carry out spot checks, quality monitoring visits and service reviews.
  • Oversee safeguarding concerns, complaints, investigations and incident reporting.
  • Ensure all quality assurance, governance and audit processes are maintained to the highest standards.
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding and induction of new care staff.
  • Support training, coaching and professional development.
  • Conduct appraisals, supervisions, performance management, disciplinary and grievance procedures.
