About us:
Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service serves a population of more than 800,000 in the Southeast of England. Around 400 firefighters operate from 19 fire stations from the outskirts of London to the South Midlands. We employ around 100 specialist support staff, from ICT to fire prevention. We are a diverse, welcoming community – will you join us?
Our Service is only as good as its people. When our employees are engaged and supported, our Service thrives. This why we support flexible and hybrid working.
About the role:
Fighting fires is only part of the work of the work we do. Our Prevention Team works with communities and partners to reduce risk, prevent incidents, and protect those most vulnerable. Partnership working is central to this approach, helping us extend our reach and create better outcomes for people across Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes.
Role responsibilities

* Develop and strengthen partnerships with healthcare and adult social care partners, alongside identifying wider partnership opportunities that support community safety outcomes and improve outcomes for vulnerable people and communities
* Identify opportunities for partners to support prevention activity, increasing our reach and improving referral pathways into the Service
* Use community risk, fire, and prevention data to identify trends, inform priorities, and support evidence-based decision making
* Develop, deliver, monitor, and evaluate targeted community safety and prevention initiatives
* Coordinate the Service’s response to hoarding and self-neglect, working with partners to support multi-agency interventions
* Support strategic prevention projects, safeguarding initiatives, seasonal campaigns, and wider Prevention priorities
* Monitor the effectiveness and value of Prevention activity, including the impact of partnership working
* Represent the Service professionally when communicating across partnership forums and external networks.
We are looking for someone…

* With experience of leading, supervising, or line managing staff, including allocating work, coaching, and managing performance
* Who can assess risk, make informed decisions, and manage complex or sensitive situations involving vulnerable people
* Who can use data, insight, and evidence to inform decisions and improve service delivery
* With excellent communication, influencing, and presentation skills, and the ability to build positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders

* Who shares our commitment to keeping people…
