Shift Engineer (Multi-skilled)

Salary:
Up to £48k per annum (DOE)

Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (Days & Nights)

As a Shift Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining production uptime across blow moulding machinery (Extrusion, Injection, and Stretch Blow Moulding) and associated plant equipment. You will work as part of a shift-based engineering team to ensure production continuity and high performance.

• Maximise uptime of all production machinery and equipment
• Diagnose and repair faults efficiently during breakdowns
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities
• Ensure all maintenance documentation and logs are completed accurately
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the plant
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality, hygiene, and food safety standards
• Collaborate with production teams to minimise disruption and improve efficiency
• Undertake additional duties as reasonably required

• Proven experience in a manufacturing environment (Plastics, Packaging, FMCG, Food, Beverage, Pharma)
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent (Electrical qualification essential)
• Strong multi‑skilled engineering background (Electrical & Mechanical)
• Experience working on automated production machinery
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced shift environment
