Contek Recruitment Solutions are recruiting for a Stores / Goods Inwards Operative on behalf of our client, a well-established and growing engineering and manufacturing business based in Aylesbury. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a minimum of 2 years' manufacturing experience to join a busy Stores team on a permanent basis.
The RoleWorking as part of the Stores team and reporting to the Stores Supervisor, you will play an important role in ensuring materials, equipment and finished products are accurately inspected, processed, recorded and prepared in line with company procedures. The role combines Goods Inwards, final inspection, packing, stock administration and ERP system responsibilities.
Working HoursLate Shift – 37½ hours per week
- Monday – Wednesday: 1:30pm – 11:30pm
- Thursday: 1:30pm – 11:00pm
- Inspect and book in raw materials and goods using the internal ERP system.
- Carry out final inspection and packing of equipment and materials.
- Complete and sign works tickets and relevant quality assurance documentation.
- Ensure incoming materials and goods are correctly identified and processed.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation within company systems.
- Work in accordance with the internal Quality Management System.
- Identify and report discrepancies, damage or quality issues.
- Liaise with Production, Engineering, Quality and other internal departments.
- Follow established procedures for goods receiving, inspection, storage and dispatch.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Support the wider Stores and Goods Inwards team as required.
- Contribute towards departmental and wider business objectives.
- Minimum 2 years' experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Previous Stores, Goods Inwards, Stock Control or Quality experience would be advantageous.
- Experience using Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Email.
- Familiarity with ERP systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to plan and prioritise workload effectively.
- Methodical approach to following systems and procedures.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build strong internal and external working relationships.
- Positive, reliable and results-focused approach.

Training& Development
Training and development requirements will be identified in consultation with the Stores Supervisor, with ongoing support provided to help you develop within the role.
