CNC Turner - Lathe Setter / Operator (Fanuc) Location

Early or Day Shift

CNC Turners to work on fixed-head, Fanuc-controlled machines.

Looking for experienced setters and operators rather than programmers.

To set and operate CNC Doosan and Nakamura lathes with Fanuc controls, producing precision-engineered components safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.

• Set and operate CNC turning machines
• Load tooling, set offsets, and prepare machines for production
• Read and interpret engineering drawings
• Carry out first-off and in-process inspections
• Use micrometres, verniers, bore gauges, and other measuring equipment
• Maintain machine performance and minimise downtime
• Support continuous improvement and TPM activities
• Work to production schedules and quality requirements
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety

• Proven CNC turning experience
• Fanuc control experience
• Ability to set and operate CNC lathes independently
• Strong drawing interpretation skills
• Good inspection and measurement experience
• Positive attitude and strong attention to detail

• Aerospace or precision engineering experience
• Multi-axis CNC turning experience
• Experience with Nakamura, Doosan, Puma, or similar machines
• Knowledge of GD&T

• Parts produced right first time
• High quality standards maintained
• Machines running efficiently
• Positive contribution to delivery performance and team objectives
