We have grown so fast over the past couple of years, awarding £2.5m in grant funding in 2024/25 alone. We are looking for someone to join our friendly Programmes team, to help us ensure that we maintain our reputation for excellent delivery of funding programmes to the VCSE sector.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Working pattern: Some hybrid working available

About UsWe are Heart of Bucks, the Community Foundation for Buckinghamshire. Heart of Bucks is a registered charity working with some amazing donors to provide a broad range of funding to other charities and not for profit organisations across Bucks. Our programmes range from those helping to address health inequalities or community safety, through poverty and inclusion projects, sports and leisure, to education, arts and culture programmes, and everything in-between.
AboutThe Role
In this role you will be responsible for delivering our funding programmes, making sure our grants and loans programmes run effectively. You’ll be the lead officer for a number of the funding programmes so will be our “team expert” for all things related to the priorities and operations of those funds, right through from delivering workshops to help groups understand the fund, to setting up and running any funding panels.
AboutYou
To be effective in this role, you’ll need to be able to prioritise, focus and manage a workload with multiple deadlines. Your great communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to engage with the broad range of stakeholders we work with including donors and grantees, helping them get the best out of our services. You’ll need to be able to analyse information quickly, identify any gaps and seek out information to make sure our Grants Panels have the best available information to reach decisions.
Strong administrative skills will be required to organise grants panel meetings effectively and to support our volunteer panel members.
Experience of Salesforce CRM would be really helpful in this role, but please don't be put off applying if you don't have all the skills we need, so long as you are willing and able to learn as you go.
