Our client is a leading engineering manufacturer and is looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to join their growing team!
As the Quality Assurance Manager
, you will develop, implement and maintain the company’s Quality Management System while leading relationships with customers’ quality teams and relevant compliance authorities.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement and maintain the company’s Quality Management System
- Lead the NCR and root-cause analysis process, producing key performance metrics
- Maintain and continuously improve company quality procedures
- Plan and lead internal, external and accreditation audits
- Maintain the company’s ISO 9001 accreditation
- Support the wider Quality team with its ASME quality manual
- Work with Procurement to review existing subcontractors and audit new suppliers
- Monitor root-cause investigations and ensure corrective actions are delivered promptly
- Support Operations with operational excellence, Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
- Work with the QC Manager to maintain the team skills matrix and implement development plans
- Lead relationships with customers’ quality teams and compliance authorities
- Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Procurement, Logistics and Finance
- Successfully implement quality systems and improvements across the business
- HND in a STEM subject or equivalent, with a bachelor’s degree desirable
- Senior quality experience within a highly regulated engineering or manufacturing environment
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001
- Experience with in fabrication and metalwork processes
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide wider teams
- Experience training employees in quality and problem-solving techniques
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous-improvement tools
- Practical, resilient and confident operating within a hands-on environment
- Ideally hold Lead Auditor qualifications covering ISO 9001 or AS9100
- Experience with in aerospace, defence or nuclear manufacturing would be advantageous
- Knowledge of PED, ASME VIII and welding standards would be beneficial
- Experience working with AS9100 would be advantageous
- Monday to Thursday 08:00 – 16:30, Friday 08:00 – 14:00
