As part of the iconic HS2 programme, we’re supporting the delivery of one of the country's most significant infrastructure projects. We’re now looking for a Quality Engineer to join our team on the EKFB section of HS2, helping to ensure that quality, technical assurance and completions standards are achieved from construction through to handover.

In this role you'llBe a key member of the project team, driving a culture where quality is planned, delivered and evidenced throughout the construction lifecycle.
You’ll take ownership of quality management processes across the project, ensuring all works are delivered in accordance with HS2 requirements, project specifications and contractual obligations.
Your Responsibilities Will Include- Developing, managing and maintaining Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and the associated Inspection Test Records (ITRs).
- Understanding and implementing quality, technical assurance and completion requirements, ensuring all ITPs conform with HS2 requirements and contain the correct document references.
- Leading and managing the Non-Conformance Report (NCR) process, identifying issues early and supporting effective resolution and close‑out.
- Using relevant IT systems to manage all quality, technical assurance, completions documentation and records, ensuring information is accurate, auditable and available when required.
- Supporting the management of quality assurance processes and compliance activities across the project.
- Coordinating handover and completions documentation throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring a smooth transition at project close‑out.
- Managing materials testing records and ensuring compliance with project specifications and testing requirements.
- Supporting temporary works assurance processes and maintaining relevant registers where required.
- Monitoring quality trends, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Championing a "Right First Time" and Zero Defects culture across the project.
This is a highly collaborative role where you’ll work closely with engineers, site teams, subcontractors and client representatives to ensure quality remains at the forefront of delivery.
You’ll work withProject Managers, Site Engineers, Section Engineers, Temporary Works Coordinators, Design Teams, Document Controllers and Supply Chain Partners.
You’ll regularly engage with EKFB and HS2 stakeholders, providing assurance that works are being delivered in accordance with project requirements and that quality records support successful completion and handover.
You’ll act as the vital link between design, engineering, construction and completion teams, ensuring nothing falls through the gaps.
