Sales Consultant

Job Purpose

As a Field Sales Consultant, you will represent the Pickfords brand by visiting customers in their homes to understand their moving requirements and provide tailored removals and storage solutions.

You will be responsible for growing profitable revenue across your territory by converting customer enquiries into sales, identifying opportunities to promote additional services, and achieving agreed sales and margin targets. Through a professional, consultative approach, you will build trust and rapport with customers, recognising that moving home can be a significant life event and ensuring they feel confident and supported throughout the decision-making process.

Working closely with internal teams, you will deliver an exceptional customer experience while contributing to the overall success of the business. Previous experience in the removals industry is beneficial but not essential, as full training and ongoing development will be provided to help you succeed in the role.

• Deliver a professional, consultative sales experience at every customer interaction.
• Build strong relationships with customers by understanding their individual moving needs and providing tailored solutions.
• Recommend and promote additional Pickfords products, services and partner offerings where they add value to the customer.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with business partners and internal stakeholders.
• Conduct home surveys, providing accurate advice and quotations to customers.
• Work collaboratively with Move Management, Customer Service and Operations teams to ensure a seamless customer journey.
• Manage your diary effectively and follow up on customer enquiries in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate customer information and survey records in company systems.
• Work towards agreed sales, conversion and profitability targets while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
• Contribute positively to team meetings, training and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties to support the success of the sales team and wider business.
