Qualified Social Worker needed for our Fostering Service in Aylesbury, paying £38 ph!

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and committed Qualified Social Worker to join the Fostering Service in Aylesbury.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dedicated Children’s Services team, supporting foster carers and ensuring positive outcomes for children and young people. Social Workers act as allocated key workers delivering statutory social work services, including assessment, planning, intervention, and review throughout the child or young person’s journey.

You will work collaboratively across key service areas, including:

  • First Response Service
  • Safeguarding Service
  • Care Management Service
  • Care Services
Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, supervise and support foster carers
  • Undertake fostering assessments (including Form F assessments where required)
  • Complete statutory visits and ensure compliance with fostering regulations
  • Contribute to care planning and permanency planning
  • Participate in multi-agency meetings and reviews
  • Ensure safeguarding responsibilities are met at all times
  • Provide ongoing support, guidance and training to foster carers
Essential Requirements
  • Qualified Social Worker (Social Work England registered)
  • Experience with in Fostering or Children’s Social Care
  • Strong knowledge of fostering regulations, safeguarding procedures, and statutory frameworks
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload effectively
  • Excellent assessment, analytical and report‑writing skills
  • Strong communication and partnership working abilities
