Residential Support Worker
£28,100.00 per annum (depending on skills, qualification and experience)
Aston Clinton, Buckinghamshire
Permanent – Full Time or Part Time. 37 hour or 24 hour a week with every other weekend.
Role OverviewSupport a 19‑year‑old young gentleman in his forever home. Provide 4:1 wrap‑around support, ensuring his safety, well‑being and development. Support all aspects of his daily life including education, social activities and personal care. Own transport is essential due to limited public transport options.
Key Responsibilities- Lead case/care planning management, including risk assessment, review and management.
- Co‑ordinate responsibilities within the service, with multi‑agency partners and produce family information, analysis and written reports.
- Attend professional meetings, including reviews, court work and other relevant events.
- Lead shifts with the primary aim of providing a high‑quality service.
- Supervise and guide staff in accordance with Action for Children policies and procedures.
- Lead by example with the application of Action for Children policy procedures and professional practice standards in line with registration requirements.
- Demonstrable experience of working in a care setting and developing positive relationships through trust.
- Ability to apply a range of techniques to coordinate and communicate with service users and their families.
- Solution‑focused approach to address problems, individually and in a team setting.
- Emotional resilience to respond to the challenging nature of the role.
- Possess a Level 3 Adult Care Diploma (or recognised equivalent).
- Driving licence beneficial but not essential.
- Over 7 weeks inclusive paid leave with the option to buy or sell leave.
