Warehouse Operative

Our client in Long Crendon is looking to recruit an individual on a permanent basis, as a Warehouse Operative, for an immediate start. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a very well established and stable organisation.

Due to location, Own transport will be required.

As a Warehouse Operative, the purpose of the role will be to assist with the day to day running of the Warehouse, responsible for Goods In, Goods out, stock control and order processing.

Duties and responsibilities:

* Receiving ‘goods in’

* Picking and preparation of orders, completion of paper work

* Customer collections; proof of collection/handling cash or cheques from Customer

* Warehouse management, housekeeping and hygiene

* Assisting with stock checks

* Preparing/despatching samples to customers/factories

* Communicating with suppliers/customers/couriers and dealing with bookings/enquiries

* General site duties such as;
Keeping the site clean, window cleaning, sweeping car park and cutting grass/weeding.

* Completing with daily FLT checks

* Operational Maintenance of mower, strimmer and other equipment.

Skills required:

* Computer literate;
Excel knowledge is essential, Word knowledge is desirable.

* Numerically literate

* Good communication skills, both written and spoken and good telephone manner

* FLT license is essential

* Strong customer focus

As the work is taking place in a Warehouse environment, the candidate will need to operate within good Health & Safety regime and within H&S policies. The candidate will also have to wear appropriate PPE uniform provided.

What’s on offer:

Salary of £28,000 to £30,000 depending on experience.

Normal hours:
Monday – Thursday, 8.00 am to 4.45 pm, and Fridays 8.00 am to 2.30 pm, with an unpaid break of half an hour for lunch - a total of 39 working hours per week. Generally no working on evenings, weekends or bank holidays.
