We are recruiting for an experienced and highly organised Drainage Scheduler to join a busy and growing drainage services business based in Aylesford, Kent.
This is a fast-paced, hands-on coordination role where you’ll be at the heart of the day-to-day operation, managing engineers’ diaries, allocating jobs and ensuring works are completed efficiently while delivering a high level of service to customers.
The Role
Working closely with drainage engineers, customers and the wider operations team, you will be responsible for:
* Scheduling and allocating jobs to field-based drainage engineers
* Managing engineers’ diaries, workloads and daily schedules
* Planning jobs based on location, urgency and engineer availability
* Coordinating emergency and reactive drainage call-outs
* Speaking directly with customers to arrange appointments and provide updates
* Monitoring jobs throughout the day and responding quickly to delays or changes
* Liaising with engineers regarding ongoing works, job progress and completion
* Updating internal job management systems accurately
* Ensuring works are completed within agreed timescales and service levels
* Supporting the wider operations team with general coordination and administration
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience within scheduling, planning, dispatch or operational coordination
* Experience scheduling field-based engineers, technicians or operatives would be highly advantageous
* Strong organisational and diary-management skills
* Confident communication and customer-service skills
* Ability to manage a busy workload with multiple jobs and changing priorities
* Good geographical knowledge of Kent and the surrounding areas
* Strong IT and administration skills
* A calm, organised approach when dealing with reactive or emergency work
* Experience with in drainage, utilities, maintenance, facilities management, construction or a similar field-based environment would be advantageous
This could be an excellent opportunity for someone currently working as a Drainage Scheduler, Engineer Scheduler, Service Coordinator, Works Coordinator, Planner, Dispatcher or Operations Coordinator who enjoys working in a busy operational environment
