Warehouse Manager

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead and develop our clients existing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse activities, ensuring efficient stock management, maintaining health and safety standards, and driving continuous improvement across all areas of the site.

Key responsibilities

- To lead, coach and motivate warehouse staff to meet productivity and quality targets

- Manage day-to-day operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatch

- Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy and stock control processes

- Implement and enforce health & safety policies and safe working practices

- You will hold regular monthly meetings with staff, ensuring any targets are being met, training needs addressed and overseeing performance management.

- You will work alongside the Purchasing Manager and the Operations Director to ensure the smooth running of the warehouse side.

- Identify and deliver process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs

- Ensure equipment and facilities are maintained and any issues are addressed promptly

Essential skills and experience

- Proven Team Leader / Management experience in a warehouse or logistics environment

- Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise

- Excellent communication and people management skills

- Experience using warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office

- Solid understanding of inventory control and stock accuracy procedures

- Knowledge of health & safety legislation and experience enforcing safe working practices

- Must have good problem solving experience and be a strong decision maker

- Ability to work flexibly to meet operational needs, including shift patterns

Desirable

- A Counterbalance Forklift licence is preferred and experience operating warehouse equipment

- Experience managing seasonal peaks and temporary labour
