PositionAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clerical Officer based at University Hospital Ayr
. This post is offered on a fixed-term basis for 12 months.
21.25 hours per week.
Monday & Tuesday 8.45am 5pm (45 min break)
Wednesday 8.45am 3.45pm (45 min break)
Working Week NoteFrom 1 April 2026, the working week for NHS Agenda for Change staff in Scotland will be reduced. Full-time hours will reduce from 37 to 36 hours (pro rata for part-time staff) without loss of earnings.
What You Will DoDuties include the maintenance and filing of patient confidential records, recording patient related data, admissions and booking out-patient appointments using the electronic Patient Management System. Providing reception services, answering telephones and relaying messages. You should be able to work flexibly in order to meet service demands. You may be required to work at peripheral clinics.

NHS Ayrshire & Arran may be able to offer visa sponsorship for certain roles, provided the post meets the minimum salary threshold and any other required criteria. When considering if a post meets the salary threshold for sponsorship, please note the salary advertised is based on a full-time contract and must be pro-rated for part-time positions. Sponsorship is not guaranteed and is assessed on a case-by-case basis following interview and at the commencement of pre-employment checks.
