Tekla Draughtsman | Ayrshire and Arran

A leading structural steel contractor in the UK is seeking an experienced Tekla Draughtsman. This role focuses on generating 3D models, producing detailed fabrication drawings, and collaborating closely with engineers and workshop teams on landmark construction schemes across the UK.

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum (DOE)

Locations:
Ayrshire, South Lanarkshire, Durham, Scarborough, West Yorkshire, Dorset

Working Arrangement:
Office-based / Hybrid (with remote options considered depending on proximity to office hubs)

• Create highly accurate 3D Tekla models and General Arrangement (GA) drawings.
• Produce precise shop fabrication drawings, assembly lists, and NC data.
• Detail structural steel connections to ensure buildability and fabrication efficiency.
• Interpret engineer and client drawings accurately to identify clashes and verify dimensions.
• Work to project deadlines while coordinating with structural engineers, clients, and fabrication teams.
• Maintain high levels of technical accuracy and attention to detail throughout the drafting lifecycle.

• Minimum 3 years’ hands‑on experience in structural steel detailing.
• High level of proficiency in Tekla Structures (Essential).
• Solid understanding of structural steel fabrication and construction processes.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and project deadlines effectively.
• Excellent communication and technical organizational skills.
