Domestic & Laundry Assistant

We are looking for an experienced, full time Domestic / Laundry Assistants to join our client's housekeeping team in one of their homes based in Ayr.

You will, preferably, have previous experience in a similar role or sector and be able to demonstrate an understanding of COSHH, and infection control procedures. You will be able to communicate effectively and work well as part of a team as well as having the confidence to work autonomously. You will know how to be respectful of our residents' dignity and privacy, ensuring our residents' right to confidentiality is maintained at all times.

You will work within both the Elderly Care and newly opened Young Adult unit within the home. Which includes residents who are living with Dementia, Physical Frailty, Learning Disabilities, Acquired Brain Injuries, Parkinson’s, Stroke, ADHD Autism and Mental Health Illness.

• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness in the home
• Assist in the laundry with the demands of the home
• Ensure communal areas and our residents' bedrooms are clean and tidy
• Maintain documentation to reflect cleaning tasks completed
• Adhere to Infection Control policies
• Maintain communication with the Housekeeper and Home Manager
• Work collectively as a team

• Flexible, Permanent, Full-Time Shifts, 30 Hours Per Week Rota
• £12.21 per hour
