As a Relief Senior Care Worker, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the service when additional cover is required. You will provide high-quality, person-centred care while offering guidance and support to Care Workers on shift, helping to ensure safe, consistent care at all times.

What Your Day Could Involve
  • Leading shifts and acting as the senior presence on duty
  • Providing personal care and emotional support in line with individual care plans
  • Administering and recording medication in line with policies and procedures
  • Supporting, mentoring and supervising Care Workers on shift
  • Maintaining accurate care records and contributing to handovers
  • Promoting dignity, choice and independence for the people we support
  • Responding calmly and professionally to changing needs and priorities
About You

You will hold an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care and have experience working in a care setting, with the confidence to lead shifts and support others. You are calm under pressure, organised and compassionate, with a strong commitment to person-centred care. It is desirable that you are working towards, or hold, an SVQ Level 4 in Social Services and Healthcare, or are willing to work towards further qualifications with support.
