As a Care Worker, you will provide hands on support to older people, helping them feel safe, comfortable and well cared for within a warm and homely care setting. Working as part of a close knit team, you will support day to day routines, personal care and social engagement, while promoting dignity, choice and independence.
What your day could look like- Supporting residents with personal care, mobility and daily routines
- Encouraging independence and supporting people to make choices about their day
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Assisting with meals, hydration and social activities
- Recording care accurately and contributing to handovers
- Working closely with colleagues to maintain a safe and welcoming environment
- Communicating with families and health professionals where appropriate
You will be caring, reliable and committed to supporting older people with dignity and respect. You may already have experience in a care setting or be new to care and keen to learn. You will hold an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, or be willing to work towards it. You will be a member of the SSSC and PVG, or willing to join, and able to demonstrate values led, person centred care in everything you do.
