An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Porter driver within our Hotel Services department based at Ailsa Hospital required to transport equipment, supplies, and sundry items necessary for the setup and operation of mass vaccination venues at various locations as well as care homes and schools across Ayrshire and Arran.

Post 1 x 25 hours, various shifts covering Mon
- Sunday.

Post 2 x 25 hours, various shifts covering Mon
- Sunday.

A UK driving licence is essential for this role.

Clinical Support Services is currently seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join the Portering Department in support of the Mass Vaccination Programme. This varied role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including the transportation and delivery of vaccines, medical equipment, supplies, sundries, and emergency oxygen to vaccination centres, care homes, schools, and marshalling venues across NHS Ayrshire & Arran. The postholder will play a key role in ensuring that all locations are appropriately stocked and operationally prepared, supporting the safe and efficient delivery of vaccination services.

The role requires flexibility, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work independently across multiple sites throughout the day to meet service demands. A flexible approach to working hours and shift patterns is essential to meet the changing demands of the Mass Vaccination Programme. The successful candidate must be able to adapt to service needs and work across various locations as required.

Previous portering or logistics experience would be advantageous; however, full training and support will be provided to ensure the postholder can carry out all duties safely and effectively.
