An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Radiographer within our Medical Imaging department based at University Hospital Ayr. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a growing service, with extended MRI and CT operating hours and increasing demand across modalities.

A flexible approach to work and the ability to respond to the ever-changing demands on the service provided by the Medical Imaging Department is essential. Participation in the provision of a service 24/7, working out of hours, to include weekends, is required. There may be a high commitment to these duties in response to service needs. These duties will be rostered and will be worked over 7 days.

This post is offered on a permanent basis.

A UK driving licence is essential for this role.

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Band 5 Radiographer to join our dynamic Medical Imaging team at University Hospital Ayr.

As a Band 5 Radiographer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services, supporting both routine and urgent care pathways. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centred care. Base Hospital is University Hospital Ayr but you may be asked to work on other sites within NHS Ayrshire & Arran.

Applicants should have a wide range of general radiographic experience and will preferably have suitable and significant post graduate NHS experience. It is essential you have a BSc (Hons) or equivalent in Diagnostic Radiography / Imaging Services with current registration with the HCPC. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a commitment to their own development.
