Overview
Join NHS Ayrshire and Arran as a Catering Assistant at University Hospital Ayr
. Work within the Catering Production & Services Team, supporting salad/sandwich preparation, service, wash‑up and hospitality functions for patients, staff, visitors and events. Record keeping, HACCP compliance, invoicing, financial auditing and liaison with internal and external departments are key responsibilities.
Work collaboratively in a safe, caring and respectful way. Assist in all aspects of food preparation, delivery and service. Maintain accurate record keeping, including HACCP records. Invoice hospitality and collate monthly financial figures, cross‑charges and liaise with other departments. Print hospitality labelling for staff dining rooms, visitors and functions, including diet labels for patients.
Qualifications & Experience- Good verbal communication and practical skills.
- Current Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable; essential to complete the first 3 months of employment.
- Desirable previous experience working within a large‑scale catering environment; full training will be provided.
25 hours per week, Monday‑Friday 09:30am‑14:45pm.
Driving Licence & Car OwnershipA UK car licence/car ownership is essential to this role.
