Anderson Knight is delighted to be partnering with a well-established client in Ayrshire to recruit an experienced HR Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on HR professional who enjoys operating in a fast‑paced environment and thrives on managing complex employee relations matters. Whilst the role has a strong ER focus, it also offers broad exposure across the full employee lifecycle and wider HR activities.
The successful candidate will act as a trusted partner to managers across the business, providing practical and commercially focused HR support while ensuring best practice and compliance are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a wide range of complex employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, performance and capability matters.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to managers on employment law, policies and HR best practice.
- Support and coach managers to improve people management capabilities and drive consistency across the business.
- Oversee and support the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through to employee development and exit processes.
- Review, develop and implement HR policies and procedures in line with legislative changes and business requirements.
- Support organisational change initiatives, restructures and consultation processes where required.
- Identify HR trends and provide recommendations to support continuous improvement and operational effectiveness.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business to support engagement and performance.
- Ensure HR records, documentation and reporting are maintained accurately and in line with GDPR requirements.
About You
- Previous experience operating at HR Manager level or in a senior HR generalist capacity.
- Strong employee relations experience with the ability to manage complex casework independently.
- Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Experience working in a fast‑paced, operational environment.
- Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive and pragmatic approach to problem‑solving.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities whilst delivering a high‑quality HR service.
- CIPD qualification preferred.
