  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week. Overtime available.
  • Reports to: Agricultural Service Manager

Who we are

Hamilton Ross Group is one of the UK’s largest machinery dealerships. We have been trading since 1933, we are in our third generation of family ownership, and around 200 people work with us across nine depots in Scotland and the north of England. We represent major brands like Massey Ferguson, Valtra, Fendt, JCB, Wacker Neuson, Kubota, Honda, Stihl and Husqvarna.

The role

You’ll start in our workshop team, working alongside experienced engineers and building practical skills across agricultural machinery. You’ll learn how to service, maintain, diagnose and repair equipment, as well as how to prepare machinery safely and to a high standard for customers.

As your skills develop, you’ll work towards a fully funded Agricultural Engineering Apprenticeship delivered in partnership with Scotland’s Rural College, Barony Campus. You’ll combine hands‑on workshop experience with structured learning, mentoring and industry‑recognised qualifications, giving you a clear route into a long-term engineering career.
