Grounds and Maintenance Team Leader

The Grounds & Maintenance Team Leader plays a vital leadership role in overseeing the overall upkeep, safety, and presentation of the holiday park. Combining supervisory responsibilities with hands‑on maintenance, groundskeeping, and specialist compliance, this role ensures all park facilities, holiday homes, outdoor spaces, and leisure amenities—including hot tubs—are maintained to the highest standards. Leading by example, the Team Leader directs daily operations, manages team workflows, ensures strict regulatory compliance, and fosters a collaborative environment to deliver an exceptional experience for holiday homeowners and guests.

• Supervising and organising the daily work schedules of the Grounds and Maintenance team.
• delegating maintenance, landscaping, and turnaround tasks effectively to ensure efficient completion.
• Training, mentoring, and supporting team members to maintain high standards of workmanship, safety, and productivity.
• Coordinating response times for reported maintenance issues and resolving complex faults in a timely manner.
• Maintaining accurate records of maintenance jobs, team rotas, stock levels, equipment servicing, and statutory compliance logs.

• Overseeing and executing the complete lifecycle of hot tub maintenance (drain, clean, refill, chemical dosing, and filter changes) during guest turnarounds and routine cycles.
• Conducting and recording daily water quality testing (pH, free chlorine/bromine, total alkalinity) in accordance with HSG
  282 guidelines and company standards.
• Monitoring microbial risks, ensuring microbiological sampling is scheduled, conducted, and logged correctly.
• Performing minor technical repairs, diagnostics, and routine servicing on hot tub pumps, heaters, jets, and control systems.
• Ensuring full health and safety compliance for guest hot tub usage, including safety signage, cover locks, and clear guidance for park visitors.

• Overseeing and carrying out routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections of holiday homes, park facilities, and public communal areas.
• Inspecting, monitoring, and supporting site utility systems, including water, sewage, gas, and electrical services.
• Coordinating the delivery, exchange, and safe storage of gas bottles.
• Performing regular safety inspections of outdoor amenities and playgrounds, logging defects, and carrying out timely repairs.

• Directing landscaping duties, including mowing, trimming, edging, planting, weed control, and site enhancement projects.
• Supervising pitch preparations to ensure holiday homes and grounds are pristine for guest arrivals.
• Managing waste management, recycling, and site cleanliness operations across the park.

• Engaging with guests and holiday homeowners in a friendly, professional manner to resolve queries and complaints effectively.
• Assisting management with operational planning, contractor oversight, and emergency cover as required.

• Strong leadership, team management, and organizational abilities.
• Comprehensive practical knowledge of plumbing, basic electrical systems, carpentry, and general repairs.
• Proven experience in hot tub water chemistry, balancing, sanitization, and technical maintenance.
• Direct knowledge of health and safety legislation relevant to leisure water facilities (e.g., HSG
