Position: Corporate Insolvency Manager / Senior Manager

Salary up to £75,000 + Benefits | JIEB Support | Hybrid & Flexible Working

We are working with a growing UK accountancy and advisory firm to recruit an experienced Corporate Insolvency Manager or Senior Manager for its Glasgow team.

This is a particularly attractive opportunity for someone who wants more than simply another case management role.

The firm is actively growing its insolvency presence in Scotland and is looking for someone who can take a senior role within the team now, with excellent prospects to progress as the practice develops.

Importantly, for someone with ambitions to become an appointment taker, the firm will provide study support towards JIEB with the opportunity, as you progress, to take insolvency appointments yourself.

The role

Working closely with Directors and Partners, you’ll manage a varied portfolio of corporate insolvency and restructuring assignments while playing an important role in developing the team and wider practice.

Your caseload will include:

  • Administrations
  • CVLs and MVLs
  • Compulsory liquidations
  • Bankruptcies
  • More complex insolvency and restructuring assignments

You’ll have responsibility for progressing cases from appointment through to closure, maintaining high technical and regulatory standards and acting as a key point of contact for clients, lenders, solicitors, creditors and other professional stakeholders.

At this level, however, the opportunity goes beyond managing cases.

You’ll mentor and develop junior colleagues, provide technical guidance, work alongside Directors and Partners on complex assignments and help build relationships with key referrers across the Scottish market.

What we’re looking for

You’ll be an experienced corporate insolvency professional, likely operating at Manager or Senior Manager level, with the technical knowledge and confidence to manage a portfolio independently.

You’ll combine strong insolvency experience with the ability to:

  • Manage and develop people
  • Build trusted relationships with clients and professional contacts
  • Handle complex assignments and competing priorities
  • Identify commercial opportunities and contribute to business development

JIEB would be advantageous but is not essential.

For someone who hasn’t yet completed JIEB but has ambitions to become an Insolvency Practitioner, this could be an excellent platform to make that progression.

Why consider it?

The real attraction is where this opportunity could lead.

You’ll be joining an ambitious and growing insolvency practice where there is genuine scope to increase your responsibility and seniority as the Scottish business develops. For the right individual, that includes JIEB study support and a pathway towards becoming an appointment taker, giving you the opportunity to build your own standing within the market rather than remaining purely in a case management role.

Alongside the career opportunity, the firm offers hybrid and flexible working, ongoing training
