Overview

Freight Administrators. My client, a large international organisation, are looking to increase their logistics staff. They are looking for experienced Freight Administrators to join their logistics team.

• Ayr location
• Pay £14.42 - £14.80
• Full time hours (40hrs)
• Temporary to permanent
• Good Office Experience
• Must have Driving Licence; may be required to drive company vehicles
• Freight Administration advantage

• Preparing Documents:
  Create bills of lading (a receipt for shipped items), manifests (list of cargo on a vehicle), and invoices.
• Tracking Shipments:
  Use software to trace orders and provide regular updates to customers.
• Managing Bookings:
  Schedule pick-ups and drop-offs with shipping lines and transport companies.
• Customs Compliance:
  Prepare and check customs clearance paperwork to follow international shipping rules.
• Communication:
  Answer phone calls and emails from clients and drivers to resolve delays.
• Organization:
  Handle multiple shipments and paperwork at once.

  Skills:
  
  Comfortable using logistics software, CRMs, and spreadsheets.
• Communication:
  Clear and calm talking to drivers and customers.
• Attention to detail: A small mistake in a number can delay an entire truck.
