Program Overview

The Program Director manages a complex specialty area that has a direct impact for the Campus Grant to “Reduce Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, Sexual Assault, and Stalking on Campus”. The Program Director is responsible for the overall leadership, coordination, and successful implementation of the grant program, including strategic planning, grant administration, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring program objectives align with the Department of Justice:
Office on Violence Against Women’s mission and goals.

Position Details

This position is fully grant‑funded, 30 hours per week, and contingent on continued funding.

Required Education
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
Required Experience
  • Minimum of five years of professional experience, preferably two years of directly related experience.
  • Knowledge of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking is required.
Primary Duties / Essential Functions
  • Responsible for developing, modifying, and driving future growth and viability of program.
  • Manage program budgets and resources, tracking expenses and monitoring the effective and efficient use of resources.
  • Supervise volunteers, providing guidance and support to ensure that program goals are met. This will involve recruiting, training, delegating tasks, and providing ongoing feedback and coaching.
  • Establish effective communication, and promote the program to increase visibility by developing marketing materials, coordinating outreach events, and cultivating relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Monitor program outcomes and evaluate program effectiveness by analyzing data, working with OCS staff for data tracking, developing evaluation reports, and recommending program improvement.
  • Collaborate with external partners, Project Sister Family Services and the Azusa Police Department, attending meetings, training sessions, developing collaborative projects, and sharing information and resources.
  • Supervise student ambassadors who support the overall functioning of the campus grant.
  • Participate in mandatory New Grantee Orientation and Annual Project Directors Call.
  • Participate in Training and Technical Assistance Institute sessions.
Skills
  • Demonstrate experience in grant management and/or administration.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards.
  • Great customer service skills; ability to interact professionally and effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds; demonstrate a genuine commitment to serve.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel, and type 55 wpm; working in Access is a plus.
  • Self‑motivator with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Must possess strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Collaborator and a commitment to a team‑based approach.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information.
  • Ability to manage details, assess priorities, meet deadlines, and provide follow‑through.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to learn and balance a variety of assignments in a first‑year and growing program.
