The Manager Mechanical Engineering – Level 2 is responsible for daily operations of a team or work unit (direct supervision of the staff, assignment of work, schedules, day to day workflow, and operating costs). Program Manager responsibilities include: cost, schedule, and technical performance of a specific unit or work package on a large system development-type contract or broad responsibility for all aspects of program performance on a delivery order or small technical services-type contract.

This position is 100% on site.

• Oversees and manages all operational aspects of a (one or more) manufacturing and/or production area(s)
• Responsible for the safety of the employees, delivering quality products on time and within customer cost targets, as well as continuous improvement
• Provides leadership direction of design and process development, production, operations, engineering, test and Quality Assurance functions
• Manages and presents status on cost, schedule and performance for all projects within the area
• Assess issues and develops mitigation plans to meet productivity, quality, cost, and delivery goals
• Other duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 8 years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree in STEM with 6 years of professional - OR – PhD with 4 years of experience
• Experience in Manufacturing and/or Industrial Engineering, Production support or industry related experience
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance
• Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience running a team and assigning their daily tasks

• Manufacturing and/or Industrial Engineering experience
• Space Systems experience
• Greater than 2 years of documented experience working in a robust IPT environment
• Strong expertise using the full suite of Microsoft Office Tools
• MES Integration Expertise, SAP experience
• Current security clearance
• Demonstrated expertise in the following systems and concepts:
• ERP2, PLM, TipQA, Cognos
• Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing Experience
