Job Description
CNC Lathe Machinist
SCHEDULE: Full Time – 40 hours weekly
COMPENSATION RANGE: $25.00 to $40.00 per hour depending on experience and qualifications
SHIFT TIME: 6:00am to 3:15pm Monday to Thursday, 6:00am to 11:00am Friday. Occasional overtime, including Saturdays, may be requested depending on the workload.
The CNC Lathe Machinist reports up through the Vice President. They will be responsible for the setup, and operation of the CNC lathe machines. The CNC Lathe Machinist will ensure that production KPIs are met, driving efficient production of parts with an emphasis on quality and precision.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of CNC experience including setup and operating (Lathe)
- Must be knowledgeable regarding FANUC controlled 2-axis CNC turning/lathes, up to 8-axis being a major plus.
- Accurately and efficiently program and set up CNC machines to meet productivity goals including:
- Strong understanding of G-Code and M-Code programming
- Capability to edit programs in a timely manner
- Ability to enter instructions including zero and reference points, setting tool registers, offsets, compensation and conditional switches.
- Ability to effectively select and install appropriate tooling for the material and operation
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM Software is a plus
- Must be able to read, interpret and work from engineering prints, drawings and sketches
- Must be able to use common shop measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, etc.
- Demonstrate excellent math skills in Algebra, Trigonometry, and Geometry
- Must have excellent computer skills
- AS9100 or ISO
9000 experience is a plus
