Environmental Manager

To strengthen the global sustainability team, we are looking for a Global Environmental Manager (80‑100%). In this role you will actively shape and advance Accelleron’s global environmental agenda across our sites worldwide by engaging stakeholders, connecting expertise, and building alignment across functions and regions.

Responsibilities
  • Lead environmental reporting and corporate carbon accounting in collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate, transparent measurement, automated reporting, and audit readiness.
  • Monitor and analyze environmental performance metrics, translating data‑driven insights into clear guidance for decision‑making, reporting, and site‑level action.
  • Develop and implement global environmental policies and processes by bringing together expert input and aligning stakeholders around practical, internationally recognized standards.
  • Drive key initiatives in environmental management, pollution prevention, waste reduction, and water stewardship across all facilities, working closely with local HSE colleagues and site teams.
  • Support group‑wide decarbonization initiatives by facilitating target‑setting, technical assessments, and roadmap development with relevant business and site stakeholders.
  • Monitor progress against company targets such as our near‑term SBTi validated climate target and help track the effectiveness of initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver training, workshops, and guidance materials that build capability, share expertise, and support consistent implementation across the organization.
  • Help ensure alignment with key reporting frameworks such as CSRD, Greenhouse Gas Protocol, SBTi, GRI, and other relevant standards.
Qualifications
  • University degree in environmental engineering, sustainability, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in environmental roles and managing environmental data in industry.
  • Experience on scope1,2 and3 emission, waste and water reduction projects and initiatives in manufacturing or service sites.
  • Technical expertise in greenhouse gas accounting and environmental management systems (e.g., ISO
    14001).
  • Strong data management skills, with experience in setting up controls and processes to ensure reliable environmental data.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands‑on, pragmatic approach and a solid operational background, able to use data and expertise to engage others and drive sustainability progress.
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and move topics forward by engaging stakeholders and creating shared ownership.
  • Ability to lead by influence, building trust, commitment, and alignment across teams without direct reporting lines.
  • Strong English language and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex environmental topics into clear, practical messages for different audiences.
