Electrical, Instrumentation & Automation Coordinator (m/f/d)
Are you an experienced Engineering professional with a passion for coordinating multidisciplinary projects within complex industrial environments? We are looking for an Electrical, Instrumentation & Automation Coordinator who combines technical expertise with strong communication and coordination skills. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to challenging process plant and industrial engineering projects while acting as a key interface between multiple engineering disciplines.
YourResponsibilities
- Coordinate Electrical, Instrumentation and Automation engineering activities throughout industrial and plant engineering projects
- Support Basic Engineering and Front End Engineering Design (FEED) phases
- Review, align and maintain P&IDs in close collaboration with Process Engineering teams
- Create, consolidate and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs), Equipment Lists and Instrument Lists
- Define and specify electrical equipment, instrumentation solutions and automation concepts
- Coordinate interfaces between Process, Mechanical, Electrical and Automation Engineering disciplines
- Collaborate with internal technical departments, suppliers and external engineering partners
- Support the preparation of technical documentation and engineering deliverables
- Ensure technical consistency across plant design, instrumentation and electrical systems
- Degree or advanced training in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Instrumentation, Mechatronics or a related discipline
- Several years of experience as an E&I Engineer, Instrumentation Engineer, Automation Engineer or in a similar role
- Proven experience in Basic Engineering and FEED activities for industrial or process plants
- Strong understanding of P&IDs, including their interpretation and technical review
- Experience creating and maintaining Bills of Material and engineering documentation
- Track record of coordinating interdisciplinary engineering activities
- Excellent English communication skills
- Experience with in the Oil & Gas industry
- Background in plant engineering, petrochemical, chemical, energy or process industries
- Knowledge of instrumentation systems, field devices, I/O concepts and control systems
- Experience working on EPC projects
- Familiarity with engineering tools such as COMOS, EPLAN, Smart Plant, AutoCAD Electrical or similar platforms
- German, French or Italian communication skills
The ideal candidate is an experienced E&I or Instrumentation specialist with a solid understanding of Basic Engineering and process plant environments. Rather than focusing purely on PLC programming, this role requires a technically strong coordinator who can manage interfaces, work confidently with P&IDs, oversee engineering data and documentation, and ensure effective collaboration across multiple disciplines.
