Summary:

The Global Commodity Leader will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy. Develop and implement a global supply chain for products/components. Support Sourcing programs and drive Sourcing strategy and actions to implement the best supply chain for the business.

Drive together with engineering the design for manufacturing process and cost reduction activities. Negotiate and achieve the best contractual conditions according to the business needs while also ensuring internal customer satisfaction. Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may influence work.

Rôles et Responsabilités:
Le Responsable Mondial des Catégories devra faire preuve de responsabilité envers les objectifs fonctionnels, commerciaux et généraux de l'entreprise. Dans ce rôle, vous intégrerez et développerez des processus répondant aux besoins de l'ensemble de l'organisation, gérerez des problématiques complexes dans votre domaine d'expertise fonctionnelle, participerez à la planification à long terme et contribuerez à la stratégie globale de l'entreprise. Développer et mettre en œuvre une chaîne d'approvisionnement mondiale pour les produits et composants.

Soutenir les programmes d'approvisionnement et piloter la stratégie et les actions d'approvisionnement afin de mettre en place la meilleure chaîne d'approvisionnement pour l'entreprise. Piloter, en collaboration avec l'ingénierie, le processus de conception pour la fabrication ainsi que les activités de réduction des coûts. Négocier et obtenir les meilleures conditions contractuelles en fonction des besoins de l'entreprise, tout en garantissant la satisfaction des clients internes.

Interpréter les défis commerciaux internes et externes et recommander les meilleures pratiques pour améliorer les produits, les processus ou les services. Se tenir informé des tendances du secteur susceptibles d'influencer les activités.

• Define global supplier strategy for components/materials including management and optimization of supplier panels
• Work closely with engineering to establish a design for manufacturing process
• Full supply chain responsibility for assigned commodities/components, establishing and managing suppliers ensuring Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost targets are met
• Create a Market Intelligence for his/her own components/segments and be the single point of contact to support the business within his own components responsibilities
• Lead negotiations, negotiate terms and conditions, manage claims and supplier recovery
• Lead relationship with suppliers and monitor/improve its performance (Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery) in order to ensure the optimum supply chain for the business
• Manage and report KPIs; prepares forecast & backlogs
• Develop and lead cost out ideas on each of his/her scope
• Support purchasing activities where required
• Support ITO and Tendering team with the best accurate cost assumptions for the components/commodities
• Support commodity standardization and rationalization actions
• Manage the risks in the supply chain, mitigate single source and under performing suppliers
• Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others  options on particular topics; may guide others to consider a different point of view

• Bachelor s degree from an accredited university
• For roles outside of the USA - This role requires major experience in Sourcing & Commodity Management

• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
• Ability to work alone with minimum supervision
• Team player and ability to work under pressure; interpersonal and leadership skills
• Ability to communicate well and drive decisions
• Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
