We are looking for a passionate and proficient scientist with expertise in Large Language Models and Generative AI to join our Research Center in Baden/Switzerland. In an interdisciplinary environment, you will drive cutting‑edge innovation for different complex systems in power grid applications. • Conduct high‑quality industrial research in the areas of Generative AI and Large Language Models for sustainable power grids, green energy and related fields.
• Develop innovative software solutions, turn them into prototypes and increase their technology readiness toward productization.
• Collaborate with a global and interdisciplinary team of researchers and engineers in Hitachi Energy Research and Business Units to identify and solve real‑world problems and realize opportunities for further improvements.
• Build relationships within the company and actively share your knowledge and expertise. Interact with local and global external partners including universities and vendors.
• Disseminate your results in technical reports, patent applications, and scientific publications.

• PhD degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
• Proven expertise in GenAI technologies spanning Large Language Models, reasoning methods, and agentic systems, with strong knowledge of relevant algorithms, frameworks, and tools.
• Expertise in scalable and high‑performance computing.
• Good knowledge of the NVIDIA AI/ML SW technology stack.
• Strong ability and keen interest in applying AI to real‑world industrial applications and business cases related to the energy sector and driving the emerging research in this field toward productization.
• Excellent communication skills, team‑player attitude, initiative, and creativity.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
