Fives Services Gulf is the Fives service Centre for the Middle East, with a team of 160 people based in Bahrain, UAE and Saudi Arabia, Fives Services Gulf provides local customer service, project execution support and local parts sourcing, in addition to carrying out refit and modernization projects, audits and technical assistance on customer sites. A team is also dedicated to the maintenance of equipment in operation at our customers' plants.

We are currently seeking a Junior Accountant to process and consolidate all finance and accounting transactions for Fives Services Gulf in compliance with the Company’s financial policies and procedures, local regulations and IFRS standards.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities- Support the preparation of monthly financial statements (cash flow, P&L, balance sheet, etc.), financial reports, cost analysis reports and annual budgeting reports as required in line with Company policies and procedures, and IRFS standards
- Review and analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards
- Contribute towards the development and implementation of accounting and finance control policies and procedures across the region
- Review invoices for accuracy and reconcile invoice records against receivables
- Support the Financial Controller in preparing and submitting forecasts and budgets as per the required Company processes, timelines and IRFS standards
- Support the closure of the monthly trial balance for Fives Services Gulf and support financial year-end closing budgets in co-ordination with relative stakeholders
- Support local financial filing requirements as per local regulations and time frames (i.e., VAT filings, external audit, tax filings, ESR filing etc.) as and when required
- Contribute towards the monthly / quarterly / bi-annual / annual closings and trial balances ensuring accurate and timely reporting in the ERP system
- Maintain accurate records of all accounts receivable transactions / collections for the monthly book of accounts and prepare reports as and when required
- Prepare and submit the monthly Statement of Account for customers / clients as per Fives policies and procedures
- Follow up with customers / clients regarding overdue payments to support timely collections, and prepare the aging report on a weekly basis as per Company policies and procedures
- Prepare and process online banking transactions (including GOSI payments/contributions) and ensure all payments are processed as per Company policies and procedures, and IRFS standards
- Prepare manual payments (i.e cash, cheques etc) as required and ensure transactions are accurately recorded in the EPR system in line with Company policies and procedures, and IRFS standards
- Manage petty cash and record petty cash transactions in the EPR system ensuring all petty cash transactions are reconciled in line with Company policies and procedures, and IRFS standards
- Ensure compliance with all relevant (internal and external) regulations including HSEQ requirements using Company policies and procedures and IRFS standards
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting or a relevant field
- Relevant experience would be advantageous
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CMA or equivalent is advantageous
