Fives Services Gulf is actively seeking a Smart Operations Solutions Engineer to join its teams in Bahrain.

Fives Services Gulf is the Fives service centre for the Middle East, with a team of 160 people based in Bahrain, UAE and Saudi Arabia. We provide local customer service, project execution support, parts sourcing, refit and modernization projects, audits, technical assistance, and maintenance of equipment in client plants.

We are currently seeking a Smart Operations Solutions Engineer to design, develop, integrate and support digital solutions for maintenance and operational excellence, connecting maintenance operations systems, Smart Crane technologies, SAP Business One, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Power Platform, enterprise applications and operational technologies. The goal is to enable real‑time visibility, process automation, asset reliability, operational efficiency and data‑driven decision‑making across the organization and its customers.

• Smart Operations & Maintenance Systems
• Support, manage and optimise Smart Crane Systems, maintenance operations systems, Industrial IoT devices and OT environments.
• Integrate operational and maintenance data with enterprise applications and analytics platforms.
• Support real‑time monitoring, process automation, predictive maintenance and asset performance initiatives.
• Troubleshoot system issues and identify opportunities for operational improvement and technology optimisation.
• Enterprise Applications, Data & Integration
• Support and enhance SAP Business One processes across operations, inventory, maintenance, procurement and related functions.
• Design, develop and maintain integrations between SAP Business One, Smart Operations platforms, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, SQL Server and third‑party systems.
• Manage Microsoft Fabric environments including One Lake, Lakehouse architecture, data pipelines, data warehousing and governance.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, KPI reporting, analytics solutions and operational insights.
• Ensure data quality, security, reliability and governance across enterprise platforms.
• Application Development & Automation
• Design, develop and support web applications, Power Apps, Power Automate workflows, APIs and digital solutions.
• Implement scalable and secure solutions that automate business processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Support application lifecycle management, modernisation initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
• Customer Support & Technical Consulting
• Provide customer support, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, system upgrades and user assistance both remotely and on‑site.
• Conduct customer meetings, workshops, solution demonstrations and technical presentations.
• Gather and document business and technical requirements and translate them into practical solutions.
• Act as a primary technical point of contact and ensure timely issue resolution and customer satisfaction.
• Governance & Continuous Improvement
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity, OT security, data governance and business continuity requirements.
• Maintain technical documentation, standards and operational procedures.
• Support digital transformation, process improvement and automation initiatives across the organisation.
